Waldorf 4-pole filter – recapping

Recapping is a process of replacing old capacitors (especially electrolytic) with new ones. Through time, electrolytic capacitors tend to become “dry”, thus loosing their primary properties. Recapping is mostly done on old TVs and radios, as well as vintage analogue synthesizers, studio mixers, effects, etc.

I recaped my Waldorf 4-pole filter, which was made in mid 90’s and it has Curtis CEM 3387 analogue filter chip, with new Panasonic FC and Multicomp electrolytic capacitors.
